When and Where Do We Meet?

The Twin Cities AutoCAD.EXE User Group Meetings are held on the THIRD TUESDAY of each month at 7:00 PM at various locations throughout the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area.

Meetings are hosted by AutoCAD users, group members, vendors and suppliers, and other support services or interested parties with related technologies. These meetings offer AutoCAD users many unique opportunities to learn more about AutoCAD, local opportunities and related local applications.

Meetings are FREE of charge and everyone is welcome.
(However, membership is required for prizes and voting rights)

A meeting notification which includes the location and primary meeting topic is sent out via EMAIL a week or two before the meeting. Send your email address to Aeug@mcwi.com and ask to be put on the meeting notification list.

How Do I Host A Meeting?
If you are interested in hosting a meeting, contact the AutoCAD.EXE officers via Email at Aeug@mcwi.com
  • Meetings Hosted at a Member's Employer - If you are a member, we'd love to come see where you work. Ask your employer if they are willing to host a meeting at their location. We can talk about how you have set up your CAD systems, what your company does, or possibly even have a plant tour. You don't need to work for a huge hi-tech firm to host a meeting. We all have something that we can learn from companies of all sizes.
  • Meetings Hosted By Hardware/Software Vendors - Are you a hardware or software vendor that would like to present your products and or services to our members" If so we'd love to hear from you. Any software packages or hardware products that are of interest to our a CAD user, would be of interest to us as a group.
  • Meeting Hosted By Autodesk Dealers - Are you a dealer of Autodesk software? We are dedicated to the non-biased support of all AutoCAD dealers and offer this opportunity for all dealers to host our meetings. Maybe you would like to show an Autodesk product that you specialize in. We can tell you what products we haven’t seen recently, and we can also suggest products that our members have voiced interest it.
Typical Meeting Format

Meetings can vary depending on the interest of a particular product or service. We usually draw from 10-20 users at a meeting. Meetings start at 7:00pm, but that can be adjusted if necessary. Our typical meeting starts with a short discussion of User Group business, a Q&A session for members with particular problems, and then we turn the meeting over to our host.

To suit our hosts, we can rearange the order of the meeting or forgo the business aspect completely if the host needs the entire evening. Refreshments are always appreciated, but certainly not required. If you are a vendor and are planning on having prizes to give away as door prizes, let us know and we'll mention it in our meeting notice. "Free Stuff" always seems to bring in members...go figure!
